Zhao Zilan (1996) is an independent illustrator and artist currently focusing on contemporary illustration, comics and moving images. She has a multidisciplinary background in both architecture and illustration. Compared to a traditional career in either field, she prefers to use her knowledge of space and design to explore ambiguous and unexpected possibilities in everyday life.

As an urban wanderer, she has a strong interest in psychogeography. Like a poetic bustle in the city, her work has a sense of the lyrical and shows the synthesis of all that she has found in her surroundings. Her work benefits from the transformation between walking, drawing and technology such as augmented reality.
